XORN Mediterranean Sea Inversion

XORN project has passed the halfway point. After developing our Bayesian gravity and magnetic inversion software, we have just completed the inversion for the Mediterranean Sea area.

The ESA XORN project has passed the halfway point!

After developing our Bayesian gravity and magnetic inversion software, we are obtaining now the first geophysical results: we have just completed the inversion for the Mediterranean Sea area computing a high-resolution homogeneous 3D model in terms of density, magnetic susceptibility and geological units. The model reaches a depth of 50 kilometers and contains also maps of main geological horizons and is completed by its predicted accuracy!

Results will be published soon, but if you are interested in a preview feel free to contact the XORN team.
