The ESA XORN project has passed the halfway point!
After developing our Bayesian gravity and magnetic inversion software, we are obtaining now the first geophysical results: we have just completed the inversion for the Mediterranean Sea area computing a high-resolution homogeneous 3D model in terms of density, magnetic susceptibility and geological units. The model reaches a depth of 50 kilometers and contains also maps of main geological horizons and is completed by its predicted accuracy!

XORN first inversion

After 2 months and a half from XORN Kick off we are obtaining the first important results: the software to perform magnetic only Bayesian inversion has been developed and successfully tested.
